director biography

Julia Kennelly is a director and producer of both narrative and branded content. She has worked for New York-based production companies Archer Gray, Juniper Jones, Public Record, Broadstreet, Ace Content/Anomaly and MikMak, among others. While Julia has produced advertising work written about in AdWeek and TIME, she has a passion for narrative film, and is deeply committed to telling stories about people who are not often visible in the mainstream media. Her directorial debut, a short film called Chandler, premiered at the Atlanta Film Festival in April 2018 and was featured by Vimeo, NoBudge and Omeleto upon its release later that year. Films she's produced have been in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival, Outfest, SIFF and Palm Springs Shortsfest. Julia is currently line producing an upcoming HBO documentary series, to air early in 2020.
