Created from over 500 feet of woven fabric, this animated short reimagines the 1841 disappearance of the filmmaker’s ancestor, Julianna Hofrichter, as she follows signs through the wild, exploring memory, transformation, and the threads connecting family and place.

A middle-aged projectionist of a small-town cinema meets his teenage love after many years. The faces of all the residents of the city are deformed, only crying will make their faces return to their normal form.
